“To live is to choose. But to choose well, you must know who you are and what you stand for, where you want to go and why you want to get there.”
Law of Knowledge
The most basic of all the Universal Laws is the Law of Knowledge because with understanding comes control and power. This is an absolute rule which applies to the human body as well as modern technology. The more the person knows about a person, situation or object, the more control he has over it.
Do you know someone in your life that has control over you? Maybe someone at home has changed something in your routine and it caused you to change your behavior. A person with computer knowledge is able to control the computer; whereas, a person without such knowledge cannot operate a computer.
Law of Self-Knowledge
Within the Law of Knowledge is a specific sub-law of Self-Knowledge or "knowing thyself." One who does not know himself, having never tested himself or his limitations does not know what he can do. This person is uncertain or insecure with himself and/or abilities. But, the reverse is also true too. The person who has trained and tested his abilities is the secure with himself. With knowledge and training you can perfect your abilities. You gain control over your abilities and know how to apply them. You gain control over any activity you endeavor to do. Anyone practiced and proficient at his art or skill, will say that their proficiency lies in their self-knowledge.
This is An Era of Knowledge Abundance
Have you heard the expression that “the future is about finding diamonds in the dirt”. Having spent a fair amount of time digging in the garden, I never found any diamonds. Have you ever met anyone who has ever found a diamond while out digging in their garden?
Time is the Diamond in the Dirt
Where are you looking for more time to magically appear so you can ‘know thyself’? Everyone is constantly trying to ‘find time’. Knowledge is only useful if you act on what you know. Most people need to create balance between the time they spend knowing with the time they spend doing.
"A wise man has great power, and a man of knowledge increases strength;" proverbs 24:5
To Know Thyself is Empowering
How do you actually make necessary inner changes? Only practical, effective ways will bring about a significant inward change. As you understand yourself – you gain control. The more you understand yourself, the more control you exercise. For sustaining, real and positive changes in your life, you must first create change from the inside.
As you are empowered, you realize your talents, abilities and potential. You become successful and fulfilled. If you are considering a step in amping up your "Self-Knowledge" Visit -- Spiritual Coaching.
